Wide Temp provides the following Limited Warranty to the original end-user purchaser of Wide Temp products, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.
Warranty Coverage
Limited Product Warranty
Wide Temp warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and service conditions for the following periods:
- General Products: 1 year from the original ship date
- Battery Products: 10 years or 4,000 cycles (whichever comes first) on a pro-rated basis, subject to throughput and battery degradation with an expected energy retention of 60% at 10 years/4,000 cycles
- Inverter Products: 10 years for the original end-user
The warranty period commences from the date of initial installation at the Original Use Location as recorded in the online registered Limited Warranty upon system activation. If the warranty is not registered, the warranty period will commence from the original purchase date from the distributor or supplier.
Warranty Conditions
This Limited Warranty applies only when:
- Products are purchased from an authorized Wide Temp reseller, distributor, or directly from Wide Temp
- Products are installed by a qualified installer in accordance with all Wide Temp Installation Manuals, Integration Guides, Specification Sheets, and applicable electrical codes
- Products are used in accordance with the intended application and within specified operating conditions
- The warranty applies to the original end-user purchaser only
- Wide Temp limits its liability to product replacement or repair at Wide Temp's discretion
Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
This Limited Warranty will not be valid under the following circumstances:
- Failure to notify Wide Temp or an Authorized Service Partner of a defect within 30 days of discovery
- Abuse, accidents, negligence, or failure to maintain the product according to manufacturer specifications
- Modifications, alterations, or attachments not pre-authorized in writing by Wide Temp
- Damage resulting from non-compliance with safety regulations, improper installation, or improper operation
- Damage during shipping or transport
- Products that have been opened, modified, or disassembled without Wide Temp's prior written consent
- Workmanship performed by the installer, costs of mileage, travel expenses, installation, removal, shipping, reinstallation, or software update-related costs
- Battery products not operated for six months or more
- Damages caused by force majeure events including but not limited to: power surges, lightning strikes, fire, flood, animals, insects, vermin, accidental damage, third-party actions, or direct water exposure
- Evidence of high voltage damage to circuits in inverters or batteries (including BMS) will nullify the warranty
- Failure to adhere strictly to the installation manual, including the use of recommended surge protection devices, fuses, proper wiring, and employment of qualified personnel
- Improper battery wiring, such as home-run connections directly to individual battery terminals or using improperly sized wiring
- Exposure to movement or shaking after installation, or temperatures outside the specified operating range
- Discharging batteries below 100% Depth of Discharge (DOD) as reported by the batteries
- Vandalism, destruction by external influences, unsuitable environment, insufficient ventilation, or damages caused by other system components
- Damage caused by the product's use as a component of another manufacturer's product or system
- Defacing or removing original identification markings
- Damage caused by other components of the power system (e.g., inverters, charge controllers, breakers, fuses)
Important Notes:
- The warranty is transferable only if the product remains at the Original Use Location for the remainder of the original warranty period
- Repairing or replacing a product does not extend the original warranty period
- Wide Temp is not liable for compensation related to loss of power production, business operation interruption, or customer expenses for repair, removal, replacement (including labor, transportation, temporary power), or costs from changes to existing systems or building installations
Product Activation and Monitoring
Upon installation and internet connection, customers agree to allow Wide Temp to remotely monitor system usage and condition, and to update software/firmware as necessary. If a system loses internet connection for three consecutive months, the Limited Warranty for the relevant battery or inverter may be voided.
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Procedure
To obtain warranty service:
- The installation company should first troubleshoot the problem
- If a defect is determined, contact Wide Temp Friendly Technical Support
- Wide Temp Technical Support will assist in obtaining an RMA number
- Contact [email protected] with the following information:
- Proof of purchase
- Product model and serial numbers
- Installation date
- Electrical diagrams
- System settings
- Photos of the installation
- Battery wiring details
- Installation registration information
- Product location address
- Utility documentation
- Detailed problem description
Important: If Wide Temp determines a returned product is not defective or lacks a valid RMA, it may be refused or returned at the customer's cost. If damage is found not to be covered by the warranty, Wide Temp reserves the right to invoice for a replacement product.
Customers may ship products for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) at their expense. Fees apply: $300 for general products, or cost of safe disposal plus 15% administration fee for batteries.
Legal Provisions
These warranty terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any disputes will be resolved in Utah courts.
DISCLAIMER OF OTHER WARRANTIES: Wide Temp disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, limiting them to the duration of this Limited Warranty. Wide Temp is not liable for consequential or incidental damages.
Medical Equipment: Wide Temp products are not intended for use as primary or backup power for life-support systems or medical equipment.
